Ross's Surprise 30th Birthday Party

My youngest brother, Ross, turned 30 on July7th. Man that really makes me feel old!
We totally surprised him with a party after he got off work. It was alot of fun.

We attacked him with silly string has he walked in! Muahahaha!!!

The lucky kiddos that got to stay up late for the party. One of my brothers' best friends, Jason, and his wife, Stefanie and their kids were in town luckily and got to be there for the party. It made the whole celebration extra special.

The birthday cake. I think this might be the only picture in existance of Ross actually smiling!

Ross getting ready to eat his face!

I made a cool little poster board with pictures of Ross. He was such a cutie when he was little!

Happy Fourth of July!

We had a really fun 4th of July this year. It was extra fun because this was the first year the Evan was really into it.
On the 3rd they had a 4th of July celebration at a park near our house. I took Evan. It was very crowded and a little crazy, so I think next year we will just park somewhere with our chairs, away from the crowd, and enjoy the fireworks that way!

Here Evan is enjoying the live music and rocking out with his little glow sticks.

We ended up leaving the park and walking back to the car. There was some craziness about a fight or a shooting or something in the park, so I opted to leave the crowd and we walked to the car and watched the fireworks from there. It was really cool because we were right under the fireworks. Evan got a little freaked out because it looked the the fireworks were going to land on us!
Of course the fireworks don't look as cool in pictures as they did in person.

Here is where Evan is freaked out by the fireworks. He was practically hiding in the bushes. We ended up sitting in the car and watching from there. He enjoyed that much more!

And here we are on the 4th of July. Wynn was in charge of lighting all the fireworks. He did a great job!
Our friends Michelle and Spencer and their kids came over and watched fireworks and hung out with us. Everyone had a blast and the best part was that there were no injuries this year, even WITH sparklers! Yay!!

The whole gang. Even Wynn's dad was here with us this year.

Fun with sparklers. Notice Evan's shoes? Yes...that is one cowboy boot and one sandal (which is too small). For some reason he was insistant of wearing those. Don't ask me why.

Would it be the 4th of July without watermelon? I think not!

Evan the Photog

These are a few random shots that Evan took while playing with my camera. Silly kid.

Picnic At The Park

On Monday we decided to go to the park and have a picnic. We ate, took a walk and checked out the ducks and turtles and let Evan play on the playground. We figured since the weather cooled off some that we better enjoy the park now since we won't be able to for a few months once is gets super hot again!

Chillin' in the stroller while Evan plays.

Chow Time!

Evan loves to cheese it up for the camera. Here you can see his lovely chapped lips that we have been trying to heal for about a month. He keeps licking them though!

The heat has arrived!

It is officially hot, hot, hot in Las Vegas. I have a feeling alot of our days this summer will look like this!

Charlotte's Baby Blessing

We finally did Charlotte's baby blessing. A little late, but better late than never! Wynn has a really hard time speaking in front of people. He is scared to death of it. When we did Evan's baby blessing, his stepdad, John, did it. We really appreciated John's willingness to do Evan's and are so thankful that he gave him a wonderful blessing. It really did mean so much to us. But, I think when Charlotte came along Wynn really wanted the experience of blessing his child himself.
Because of his fear of speaking in front of people, we decided to just do a private blessing at home instead of at church.
Wynn did such an awesome job! I am so proud of him. I know that Heavenly Father inspired him that day with the most beautiful blessing I have ever heard. I am so happy that he found the courage to do it. I know we will always remember it as a special day.
